Missile Site Lights
When:Missile Site Lights is back!This
year looks to be awesome for the Perseid meteor shower since we'll be
at a New Moon on August 12th, 2026. NASA reports we'll see somewhere
between 50 to 100 meteors per hour!Join
site staff along with special guests Patrick Sommer with DarkSky
International and Wes Anderson, director of the Valley City State
University Planetarium. We
may be including more special guests to Oscar-Zero as we get closer to
August 12th. This will be a free event from 10pm (August 12th) to 1am
(August 13th) so bring out your lawn chairs and blankets. We will be
spraying for mosquitoes and hopefully we'll have a nice clear night for
this!
